Devil's Head Ski Resort
A 25 minute drive!  Devil's Head Ski Resort in South Central Wisconsin attracts skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels because of its 500 vertical feet of excitement.  Devil's Head has night time skiing and a variety of perfectly-groomed ski runs that sit on top of one of the highest mountains in Wisconsin.  They also offer cross country ski trails and equipment rentals.

Mirror Lake
Mirror Lake State Park covers over 2000 acres and is just three miles from Wisconsin Dells.  Sandstone bluffs surround half the lake which offers excellent fishing, swimming and canoeing & kayaking.  Wooded campsites, picnic areas, a boat landing, and miles of biking and hiking.  Mirro Lake is also a popular winter recreation area with 17 miles of groomed cross-country ski trails.

Eagle Watching
The Ferry Bluff Eagle Council is a local, grassroots
 organization working to protect, enhance and maintain Bald Eagle habitat in the Sauk Prairie area through education, research and management activities. The Wisconsin river is a regular stop on the eagle flyway and an annual Eagle Watching Days event is held in January in Sauk city with activities that include eagle watching, conservation discussions, photography sessions and events for children.  Watching tours are also held in January and February.

Snowmobiling
Established in 1968, the Yellow Thunder Snowmobile Association is located in Lodi, WI near Lake Wisconsin. The club members come from Lodi, Dane, Harmony Grove, Okee, and even central Illinois.  Members enjoy sharing adoration for Wisconsin’s wonderful white winters and snowmobiling.  The website contains snow and trail condition information as well as events and trail maps of the area.


Beck's restaurant on the water is a popular stop for the local snowmobile enthusiasts!

Ice Racing
The Southern Wisconsin Ice Racing Association host many ATV and motorcycle races on the frozen Wisconsin lakes over the winter season.  The season starts in January and races are held on Sundays.  You can find the race schedule on the SWIRA website.
